Returning to Learning for 2020–2021

We know you have questions about returning to school for the 2020–2021 school year. We want to provide you with information, updates, and links related to returning to learning. We hope the information below can serve as a reliable tool as we work together to plan for the upcoming school year. Please check back frequently, as information will be updated as it becomes available.

Marking Period 4 Return

As we approach the final marking period of the school year, the majority of our livestream and cyber students have returned to traditional face-to-face instruction. If you still have your student at home in the livestream or cyber platform, we ask that you consider sending them back to the traditional setting for the last marking period, which begins April 14. It will be a great way to reintroduce your student(s) to the traditional face-to-face school environment. If you would like your student(s) to return to the traditional setting for marking period 4, please contact your student's school counselor so the necessary arrangements can be made. However, if you prefer to keep your student(s) in the livestream or cyber platform until the conclusion of the 2020–2021 school year, we will honor that choice.

Beginning with the 2021–2022 school year, our current plan is to operate only two platforms: the traditional face-to-face model and Lake-Lehman Cyber. The Lake-Lehman School District has and will continue to follow all CDC and PA DOH guidelines. As guidance continues to change, we will adjust our protocols and be sure to continue maintaining the safest environment possible for all students.

Thank you for your support and cooperation. The past year has challenged us in ways we never imagined. As a community, we have supported each other and made school accessible to all. This would not be possible without support from parents/guardians and families in our district.

Google Classroom Instruction Days

The district will begin to institute Google classroom instruction days on certain days when school is canceled. We are attempting to preserve some continuity of education with all of the weather cancellations, as well as maintain a reasonable school calendar. Please review our full Google classroom instruction days document for more information.

Return-to-School Plan
