Superintendent Letter to Parents

Members of the Lake-Lehman Community:

I want to thank you for your patience and understanding and pray for your good health and safety during this difficult time. Hopefully, we will soon return to our normal routines and interactions that make us a special community. I have been working with educational leaders throughout the region as well as numerous solicitors and legislators in developing a Continuity of Education Plan that best suits the needs of all the students of the Lake-Lehman School District.

My heart goes out to all the seniors who are missing the opportunities afforded a student in their final semester. My foremost goal is to preserve the June 5 graduation date so all senior students are afforded the ability to transition on time to future endeavors.

The Governor has recently announced schools will be closed until the week of April 6. On April 7 and 8, staff members will be able to return to their respective schools to set up classrooms and workspaces. Students will return to school on Monday, April 13. Please keep in mind that this subject to change as conditions change within the Commonwealth. Please read the superintendent's full March 25, 2020, letter to learn more about online learning, student material/Chromebook pick-up, and more.

Coronavirus Information

Lake-Lehman School District is taking all precautions recommended by the CDC and the DOH with respect to cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizing our school facilities, as well as the district’s transportation vehicles. Although the number of confirmed cases at present is low in the United States, taking all precautions at both school and home are recommended.

Please take a moment to read our Coronavirus information sheet for important information.

Educational Resources for Students

Continual learning is very important. As such, we are supplying educational websites and resources for students in their various grade levels. Please view our educational resources for students flyer for a list of the websites.

Ross - Safe2Say Something

Safe2Say Something is a youth violence-prevention program run by the Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General. The program teaches youth and adults how to recognize the warning signs and signals, especially within social media, from individuals who may be a threat to themselves or others and to say something before it is too late. We have informed all students in grades 5–12 about the program.

Lehman-Jackson - Fifth/Sixth Grade Dance

The fifth/sixth grade dance will take place on Friday, April 17 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. We remind students that they must follow the student dress code along with the electronics policy. We also request that parents come into the school to pick up their child at the conclusion of the dance. We kindly ask that parents pick up their child promptly at 8:00 p.m.
