Lake-Lehman School District

Lake Lehman School District

Special Education

We provide a variety of special education services to our students from kindergarten through high school. Services range from consultation and direct services in the classroom to pull-out services and self-contained classrooms with specialized instruction.

The Special Education office works with principals, teachers, parents, and students to coordinate the educational and other needs of students in the Lake-Lehman School District. Our specialized staff conducts evaluations and develops Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal laws. We deliver services that support the needs of each student in the least restrictive environment (LRE).

Learn Life Skills

The district provides life skills programs, emotional support programs and learning support programs for all grades kindergarten through twelfth. The district also offers an autistic support program for grades kindergarten through second grade. These programs are provided within the Lake-Lehman School District

New Therapeutic Preschool Program

What is a therapeutic preschool?

Hazleton Early Intervention, in partnership with the Children's Service Center, has developed a program designed to meet the growing need for mental health services for preschool children, ages three through five, whose behavior impacts their ability to maintain placement in a daycare. For more information, please view the Therapeutic Preschool Program flyer.
