A principal shout out is given to any student that the principal notices going beyond just academics. These individuals have stepped up to the plate by actually putting into practice aspects of the mission of the Lake-Lehman School District. Simply put, it is about just being a good person! Here at Ross, we recognize and reward these types of students. To name just a few of what it takes to receive a principal shout out, students must consistently:
- Help struggling peers
- Create a positive environment for those around them
- Treat peers and teachers with respect by complimenting
- Follow school rules
- Demonstrate generosity (especially that of giving their time!)
- Do their best (even when nobody's watching)
- Go above and beyond with all expectations
- Be nice
