Ross Elementary School
Welcome to Ross Elementary! We are extremely proud of our students and staff. Our students participate in collaborative and real-world learning opportunities. Students have access to specials in art, music, technology, and physical education. Administration and staff promote the pillars of community, mastery, independence, and generosity to coincide with the school district’s mission statement.
April Noble Knights
Congratulations to our April Noble Knights! This month, teachers looked for students who are honest and show high integrity. The winners are: Kali Scouton, Ezra Oliver, Emma Blat, Ally Waitword, Juliann Maculloch, Quinn Hollos, and Annalynn Overwise.
Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week
We appreciate teachers and staff year-round for all their hard work, and in May, teacher appreciation/staff appreciation week gives us a chance to celebrate them and show educators how much we value them! If you can, take a moment during the week to tell them just how much that means to you and your child. Teachers and staff have a lasting and positive effect on their students not just for the time they are here with us but for their entire lives.
6th Grade Awards Ceremony
The 6th grade awards ceremony will take place on Tuesday June 2 at 10:00 a.m. in the Ross Elementary gym. Each 6th-grade student may invite four guests to attend the ceremony. We will recognize our 6th-grade students for their many outstanding achievements, growth, and progress during their time at Ross Elementary.
U-Knighted Knight Out
The Lake-Lehman School District will be hosting our district-wide U-Knighted Knight Out under the stadium lights on Saturday, May 2 from 5:00 to 8:30 p.m. We hope you will join us for face painting, bounce houses, yard games, food trucks, and so much more!
PSSA Preparation
The Pennsylvania Department of Education requires annual administration of English language arts, mathematics, and science assessments in grades three through six. We kindly ask that you do not schedule any family vacations during this time. These assessments are important in determining how well our students perform in relation to the core standards and curriculum. The testing date range is April 20 through May 1, 2026.
February Noble Knights
Congratulations to our February Noble Knights! These awards promote positive student behavior. This month, the teachers looked for students who demonstrated strong academics. The winners are Carson Holcomb, Colton Bedford, William Volkel, Dakota Volkel, Sullivan Jones, Hannah Blat, and Camryn Ferkel.

Dismissal Reminders
Please have a plan in place for your students in the event of any weather-related dismissal changes. Last-minute changes and messages may not be received by teachers on time. Snow routes can be viewed on the LLSD website under parents and bus information. If there is a snow route called for the morning pick up, drop off will be at their regular stop unless snow routes are announced for the afternoon as well. Snow routes do not affect walker drop-off or pick-up.
Lost and Found
Please be sure to label all your students’ belongings. We have a lost and found box overflowing with sweatshirts, coats, hats, and gloves. If your student has lost any belongings, please ask them to come check the lost and found in the nurse’s office.
Free Breakfast for all Students
All students in the Lake-Lehman school district are able to get free breakfast at school. Students are encouraged to go to the cafeteria once they check into their homeroom each day. Breakfast is a great way to start your day off on the right foot.
