Anti-Bullying Assembly: March 4, 2026
Dear Parents & Guardians,
I would like to inform you that on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, the Lake-Lehman Jr./Sr. High School will be hosting Ryan’s Story: Bullying and Suicide Prevention That Saves Lives. It is an anti-bullying assembly for all students in grades 7–12.
Due to the nature of the content that will be presented, this letter is to inform you that if you do not want your child to participate please contact the main office at 570-255-2810 by Monday, March 2, 2026, to opt out.

Ryan’s Story: Bullying and Suicide Prevention That Saves Lives
John Halligan is a nationally recognized bullying and suicide prevention speaker who has delivered his powerful presentation, Ryan’s Story, to over 2,500 schools across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, reaching more than one million students since 2005.
After losing his 13-year-old son Ryan to suicide in 2003 due to bullying and cyberbullying, John dedicated his life to preventing other families from experiencing this tragedy. His authentic, story-based approach has been featured on Oprah, PBS Frontline, and Primetime with Diane Sawyer, and he received the FBI Director’s Community Service Award in 2009.

Graduation Project
As part of the high school graduation requirements, students complete a project in one or more areas of concentration under the guidance and direction of a member of the high school faculty and from our community (if applicable). Students must meet the project demonstration criteria as set forth in the Chapter 4 Regulations of the Pennsylvania State Board of Education.
