Kindergarten Registration

At Lehman-Jackson, we place a lot of emphasis on school pride. We have a beautiful school decorated with our school colors and murals. Student art work and academic work is displayed throughout our school, along with student accomplishments and awards.

Our approximately 400 students enjoy special areas of art, music, technology, physical education, and innovative opportunities.

Our PTO is an important part of our school. They support and enhance our educational experiences by planning and organizing several activities and events throughout the year. They foster an active and caring relationship between home and our school.

If you are thinking about enrolling your child at Lehman-Jackson, we are confident you will enjoy our school!

Our Core Values

At Lehman-Jackson Elementary, we place emphasis on the following seven (7) core values:

  • Cooperation
  • Generosity
  • Helpful
  • Honesty
  • Respect
  • Responsibility
  • Academic Achievement

These seven values coincide directly to our “Be Your Best” program.  We recognize and reward students each month who demonstrate these values throughout the school year.

In addition to recognizing students on a monthly basis, we have a daily initiative called “Caught Being Good By The Principal.” Anytime a student is caught in the act of doing something good during the school day, they will receive a brag tag with the message “Caught Being Good By The Principal.”

We believe these programs are motivational and effective ways of promoting positive behavior within our school.

Best Practices of Instruction

We strive to create a student-centered instructional environment which maximizes student engagement and provides opportunities for our students to become better learners. We place emphasis on the following best practices of instruction:

  • Collaboration
  • Real World Connections and Background Knowledge
  • Active Participation
  • Motivational and Meaningful Activities
  • Exploration and Discovery
  • Students Mentoring Students Across Grade-Levels

Student Creed

As you enter our school, you will see a mural with our student creed. We developed our student creed to hold us more accountable for our daily actions while also helping us to focus on challenges that we may face on a daily basis. We say it each morning as a reminder to start the day off right.

Student Creed
I am “student name.”
I am a Lake-Lehman Knight.
I am a positive thinker.
I accept challenges and do my best.
I respect myself and others.
I will make a difference.
