Transportation

Our Transportation Department is responsible for the safe and efficient transport of students. Each of our bus drivers is certified by the state and must hold a commercial driver’s license. Our drivers are trained to follow all state regulations regarding school bus operations, well-organized transportation, and traffic laws. You can rest assured that your child’s safety is our priority.

Be Respectful of the Rules

Bus transportation is a privilege, not a right. Please take some time to review the bus rules and routes, and if you have additional questions, give us a call. We’re glad to be of service.

  • Be on time.
  • Wait for your bus outside at the bus stop, not indoors.
  • Enter and leave the bus in an orderly manner.
  • Follow the directions of the bus driver.
  • Remain seated until the bus stops.
  • Keep the aisles clear.
  • No live animals, large objects, or glass containers.
  • Use conversational/inside voices.

Snow Emergency Bus Routes

For our students’ safety, we have established snow school bus routes for use when school is delayed or dismissed due to weather conditions. A delay can be caused by snow or cold temperatures.

When a delay is caused by snow, emergency bus routes will be in effect, and we will post the schedule on this website. It is imperative that your child be at the designated stop at least 10 minutes earlier than the usual pick-up time. If the bus does not arrive at the scheduled time, please wait an additional 30 minutes in a sheltered area, but be sure to watch for the bus to arrive. Failure to attend school when we have provided transportation will result in an unexcused absence.

Parents of elementary school children must arrange to be at the designated stops to receive their children—especially in the case of early dismissal.
